 Our custom formulated flat acrylic paints adhere to smooth metal and are specially formulated to work best in the Rusty Rails Painter tool!

Older track? No problem.

Unless it is brand new or recently taken out of packaging- it is exposed to the air. HVAC contains dust, pollen, etc. even circulated air from the kitchen! So painting the rail without shiny metal showing through or avoiding streaks is an issue. Even on new bare clean metal.

   We start with the highest quality Valspar flat acrylic base. Then we take it to OUR shop. We have compatible tint, flow additive, 90% Isopropyl alcohol, and adhesive. Not rocket science here but we got it down to what works best for the tool and dirty or clean model railroad track. Greasy, oily, or brand new. One coat coverage that sticks and won't fall off after it dries.
