Painting Track 

The Hobby Model Trains' paint roller tool specially designed to paint model railroad track. And it has now evolved to be designed better than ever. Now made in the USA with better tool and die work and top notch quality. 

** Rusty Rails Painter® It is reusable, refillable, easy to clean, fits all our roller sizes, and has new design features:   

**NEW - The flow-port is now a .005" larger and moved closer to the roller's edge. The port is crimped forward to better direct paint to the face of the roller. **A longer nickel plated paint tube has a better reach. **A washable stainless steel paint screen is now mounted inside the cap. **The parts are now Epoxy assembled vs. previous Cyanoacrylate that fell apart under 150F hot water washing.** A removable lubricated O-ring seals against leaking paint or the more viscous weathering dyes. **A softer plastic bottle for easier maneuverability, priming, better consistent flow. Air uptake/ replacement is quicker when the squeeze is relaxed. 

This mini paint roller is far more efficient in painting all sides of the rails with easier coverage. Precise work on already ballasted track is easier. The only consumable is the foam roller and the paint! Wash the tool and reuse it! Washing with dish detergent and hot water is OK. The foam roller will be adversely affected by anything stronger than regular paint thinner.

 Rusty Rails Painter® also works great for weathering sleepers and spikes, structures, roofing, landscape like lines on streets and crosswalks. Transparency of the wood grain on the sleepers with our Limestone or Rust colored weathering dye will look great too! Installing a wider or thinner foam roller, adding diluted paint or Joe's Custom Weathering Dyes will better get you through weathering sleepers vs any diluted paint.

Foam Rollers:

Looking at our inventory we happen to have a lot of Urethane Foams. The "minimum order" we need to buy for the special order of our required cell density with the foam for the rollers is more than we can reasonably expect to use and sell within the useable life expectancy. So the temporary PROMO here is that Replacement Rollers are FREE once you buy the tool ! All sizes are included. 

Rusty Rails Painter®  Rollers (listed below) available in 4 thicknesses and each can be interchanged on the same RRP Tool. The large #350109-125 foam roller does use a longer stainless steel screw on the tool equipped for the O Scale track and similar sizes. It still can be mounted on the shorter screw but is a bit more tedious. The longer screws are always available from us if you need one, just ask.

And don't forget...the top outside edge of the track rail stays rusty!
