Code 55 setup does not utilize the foam roller. Use just the included thicker (.020") single disk. The paint simply rolls off the disk and onto the rail- much like a pin striping roller. Wipe clean the rail tops with alcohol.
Track can be painted easily without any mess to the roadbed!

TIP* Use the Rusty Rails Painter tool with doubled up foam rollers to apply Joe's Custom Weathering Dyes to weather cross ties! The dyes are much more transparent than paint, and when dry the wooden tie shows raised wood with stain literally adhered to and dried within the plastic grain of the tie!
